Lake Compounce: Family Theme Park - 

Lake Compounce is the oldest continuously-operating amusement park in the United States. This park is located in Bristol, Connecticut and was opened in 1846! This amusement park features fun kiddie rides such as the Caterpillar Train and Flying Elephants. If your family needs to cool down, be sure to visit the theme park’s very own waterpark, Crocodile Cove, which is the largest waterpark in Connecticut, featuring multiple wave pools, water slides, special areas designed for young children and even a lake!

Bishop's Orchards - Located in Guilford, Connecticut, Bishop’s Orchards began operating in 1871 as a family farm. Now, it serves as a tourist attraction, farm, retail market, and winery. This 313-acre farm allows visitors to pick their own produce. During the summer and early fall season, you and your family can pick your own strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, pears, apples, and pumpkins! Your kids will also love seeing the llamas, alpacas, and goats. Fun for everyone!
